Our Exploration Approach

Our exploration portfolio is built with a view to long-term value creation. We pursue lithium opportunities across multiple jurisdictions —from early-stage greenfields to advanced brownfields projects.

Through exploration, partnerships and strategic investments, we are building a diversified pipeline of opportunities to support the clean energy transition and secure supply for markets worldwide.

We actively search for prospective ground we can secure to undertake exploration activities, and where opportunities arise, we partner through earn-in agreements and either explore ourselves or fund exploration activities undertaken by our partners.

Our exploration team brings deep expertise across the entire value chain —from discoveries of prospective ground to project development. With experience advancing large, high-quality deposits, we apply our knowledge to identify and evaluate new opportunities with the potential to become the next generation of lithium projects.

As projects progress, we invest in advanced exploration, development and metallurgical studies, and ore-body analysis —ensuring we build a pipeline of projects that supports both regional and global markets.

Since 2017, we have invested in rights covering more than 1 million hectares and conducted exploration programmes across four continents, with mineralised pegmatites discovered and significant investments in discoveries, such as the Mt Holland and Andover deposits in Australia as well as ownership of multiple tenements.

We take a global approach to exploration, balancing greenfields exploration with brownfields opportunities.
